Stokke became famous after she was awarded an athletic scholarship from the University of California Berkeley. The internet's fame persisted for years. Their first appearance as a team was at the Grand Prix of the Americas which took place in Texas, in April 2017. Fowler told reporters that Stokke reached out to Fowler via social media. It is safe to declare that Stokke's bet proved to be a hit. In 2004, in 2004 at Newport Harbor High School, she set the pole vaulting record of the high school's freshman American record by leaping 3.86 meters. The record she set herself was shattered the next year by a leap of 4.11 meters. Stokke achieved fame when she took the title 15/16 United States in Pole-Vaulting at the age 15.
